Chiswick - New Camps, Dance Parties and Creating Crafts

We’re back to our crisp winter days this week, with Chiswick House and Gardens covered in glittering frost.

There was lots of excitement in the forest this week, as a film crew took over the grounds and our Little Forest Folk-ers ventured to catch a glimpse of their equipment and spy on what they were filming.

The sun beams lit our camps through the trees and we followed sunny spots to make shiny crafts. Adorning our heads with glittery pipe cleaner crowns, decorated with triangles, unicorn horns and alien dingle-boppers we ran round our camp embodying our characters.

To keep warm, our precious speaker was propped up in a tree and our adventurers danced to ‘shake your sillies out’, ‘jump, jump, jump’, ‘stand up, sit down, turn around’ and of course, multiple ‘bear hunts’! Safe to say, we were thoroughly jumped out!

Our educators have been scouting new camps to add into our rotation and our adventurers have been assisting us prune the overgrown holly bushes with loppers and to saw fallen logs. With the branches we found, our Little Forest Folk-ers worked together to move the logs to make huge dens that we hid in and cooked delicious meals underneath.

Have a restful and happy weekend everyone!

Joke of the week: what do you call a fake noodle?
