Chiswick - Butterfly's life cycle

Knock Knock! Who’s there? Butter. Butter who? Butter get an umbrella, it’s about to rain!

Another spectacular week finished already! Where has the week gone? We started the week off swinging our way through the trees, be it rain or shine our little adventurers are always ready. We swung high and low like Tarzan and tried to catch the moon, but it was too high.

However, fear not! That didn’t stop our little explorers as we introduced Batman and Superman to the forest. That’s right! In our forest, superheroes are always here to save the day. Our little superheroes brought themselves over to the mud kitchen and noticed different coloured letters. They noticed and recognised their names and pointed to the letters that their name began with, how clever!

As the week went on, we experienced rain! We loved splashing in muddy puddles, singing songs, dancing in the rain, and nothing could stop us. We even made super cool moon sand. That’s right! Our educators showed the children that a little bit of flour and oil opens up a world of adventure for our Little Forest Folk-ers. Our fine motor skills are beyond exceptional now!

We read stories, saved the day, swung high and low, splashed in muddy puddles, recognised letters, but are you ready for the coolest activity we did?

WE MADE A BUTTERFLY’S LIFE CYCLE! Our little adventurers told us all about how caterpillars are formed into butterflies so beautifully and used different materials to demonstrate the cycle including Pom Pom for the eggs, pipe cleaners for the butterfly, and glue to stick it all together. It was so cool!

We cannot wait to see what next week brings us, have a lovely weekend everyone!
