Chiswick - Forest Fairies!

We've had an amazing week filled with fun, learning, and creativity. Here's a peek into all the wonderful activities our Little Forest Folk-ers have been up to.

Officially Welcoming Summer β˜€οΈ

We had the pleasure of officially welcoming summer! The sun shone brightly over Chiswick House and Gardens, while the trees provided much-needed shade throughout the day. Despite some pesky mosquitoes trying to spoil the fun, we enjoyed an array of fun-filled activities throughout the week!

Fishing Fun 🎣

Our Little Forest Folk-ers had a blast making fishing rods with chopsticks and pipe cleaners. They delighted in trying to catch the β€˜fish’ that were 'swimming' in our makeshift ocean! The excitement of reeling in their "catch" brought lots of laughter and joy.

New Camp Adventures β›ΊπŸ₯Ύ

We set our sights over the bridge in search of a new camp! It was an exciting adventure as our Little Forest Folk-ers wondered where we could possibly be going. The new camp was filled with thrilling discoveries, and they particularly enjoyed the den and mud kitchen, whipping up delicious surprises and hosting parties in their new den!

Sailing Boats β›΅πŸ›Ά

Our water adventures continued as we created boats using sticks, string, and large leaves as sails. The children loved racing their boats and even braved a pretend storm! Some of our Little Forest Folk-ers imagined traveling to different countries, like the USA, but they had to navigate through the storm first!

Forest Fairies πŸ‘‘πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

Our Little Forest Folk-ers transformed into forest fairies, making crowns with a variety of plants. They curated their own unique crowns and flitted around the camp like magical fairies, spreading joy and enchantment wherever they went!

Playing Teacher πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ«

Some of our Little Forest Folk-ers took on the role of teacher, complete with bum bags and walkie talkies. They helped with headcounts, announced water breaks, and even asked their peers why they weren't listening. Their sense of responsibility really shone through the camp, showing leadership and care.

Swing Fun πŸƒ

At Parakeet camp, our Little Forest Folk-ers enjoyed swinging high into the sky. Many were able to swing independently, using their strong legs to push themselves up and down. The thrill of soaring through the air brought smiles and a sense of accomplishment.

Thank you to all our families for your continued support and for fostering a love of nature and learning in your little ones. Until next time, let's keep exploring, creating, and caring for our beautiful world!
