Wimbledon - Bugs, Binoculars and Best Friends!

This week at Wimbledon there have been lots of chances for us to explore the forest around us, and to look for any little bugs that may be hiding in the long grass! We have spotted lots of different beetles, some worms and dragonflies as we go to different spaces in the forest. 🐜 The children have loved using binoculars to look for some items that may be a little further away…even spotting a few helicopters landing on the field next door for our tennis friends! 🎾

We have spent some time out on adventure walks this week too, climbing giant hills and collecting lots of sand for our play. Taking some containers from our mud kitchen meant that the children could take turns to collect as much sand as possible to bring it back to site. It was also a great chance to test out different ways of digging and seeing how many heavy items we could carry!

We have also really shown how kind everyone can be this week with our little explorers helping their friends and looking out for others. They have been working together in games, digging giant holes for volcanoes together, going on group bug hunts and making sure to help their friends with tasks throughout the day!

It has been a fun filled week at Wimbledon, bringing lots of adventures and excitement along the way!!
