So we have returned after our amazing Christmas break away from the forest. As much as we enjoyed spending time with our loved ones and getting over the excitement of Christmas, we have all very much looked forward to coming back into the forest and sharing all our interesting stories with each other and finding out what our lovely little ones have been up to.
On arrival back to the forest, the weather has been cold and bitter, however the little ones have by far not let that dampen their forest nursery experience. To help us settle back into our forest routine in the colder temperatures, our camps have been full of wonderful physical activities that have been keeping the children active and helping them to stay warm such as, obstacle courses and a variety of different climbing structures.
Getting dirty in the mud kitchen is always a fun thing that us Fulham Little Forest Folk-ers love to do! Provided with the right equipment such as scoops, bowels, buckets and spades, we’ve had endless fun and learning opportunities whilst searching in the mud for bugs and insects and learning fun facts about each bug as we do so.
An adventure around the palace wouldn’t be mysterious unless we went on search for the Gruffalo! One of our older adventurers came up with a fantastic idea of becoming Gruffalos ourselves. So, using some natural leaves, the children tucked them into their hats to make Gruffalo ears and as if by magic the palace was full of mini Gruffalos!
We have had a wonderful first week back in the forest and we are so excited to see all the fun and adventures we get up to next week!
