Putney Heath - Alphabet Adventures and Forest Gratitude

Our little explorers, little learners, and Little Forest Folk-ers have been delving into the enchanting world of letters, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Fine motor skills took centre stage as little hands weaved tassels, crafted decorative elements, and tied knots to create personalised initial keyrings. Amid the vibrant hues of the forest, the children identified colours and gleefully hunted for the letters of their initials. These unique keyrings will soon adorn their backpacks, a reminder of the enchanting world within our forest.

We embarked on a sweet journey with letter lollipops, exploring the magic of 'big' and 'little' letters. Our adventurers matched them up to create the initials of their names, turning language exploration into a delightful, hands-on experience.

Magnetic letters transformed our forest into a letter fishing pond! With giggles of delight, our little anglers fished for letters, associating them with familiar sounds and words. Learning became an aquatic adventure as letters danced on the magnetic waves.

Thanksgiving spirit echoed through the trees as we embraced the beauty of gratitude. Wreaths adorned with natural elements, mud kitchen creations of pumpkin pies, and crafts inspired by the season brought the warmth of thanksgiving into our woodland haven. A particular favourite for our adventurers was our cinnamon playdough, where we got stuck into our sensory exploration, smelling spices and getting messy!

The forest resonated with expressive activities, with musical instruments and rhythmic play taking centre stage. Your little ones practised their rhythm-making skills, transforming the forest into a symphony of joy.

Our calm zone tent provided a serene space for stories, breathing techniques, and even teddy bear picnics. Color Monster teddies and the zones of regulation brought a sense of calm and understanding to our emotions, creating a haven for both learning and relaxation.

Have an adventurous weekend everyone! See you all next week for more exciting activities!
