This week has been filled with sunshine, warmth, and joyful exploration as we continued with our ‘All About Me’ theme. The children have embraced every moment, diving deeper into their individuality and celebrating what makes them unique.

What a whirlwind week it’s been! With brisk air and sunshine, we spent a couple of days camped out on the cricket pitch, soaking up the rays and enjoying the outdoors.

Following on from last week’s theme, we’ve continued to embrace the glorious natural world around us. Our days have been starting with flower hunts to create beautiful natural vases and wristbands, which the children proudly wore and displayed around camp.

This week, our theme brought us back to our natural roots, as we immersed ourselves in the wonders of the forest and let our imaginations flourish with the beautiful resources nature provides.

This week at Little Forest Folk Putney, the woods came alive with stories, creativity, and hands-on learning! We continued our theme of "Stories," and the children embraced the magic of storytelling, expanding their understanding through the use of props, scavenger hunts, and even tool work. It was a week filled with adventure, imagination, and new skills.

Our theme of construction continued this week with exciting new activities for our children and holiday campers.

This week, our theme was construction, and we welcomed back some old friends to our holiday camp who joined in the creative fun. The children eagerly honed their construction skills by building rope ladders and dens around camp. They loved swinging through the trees and creating cosy homes under fallen logs.

This week brought hot sunshine, so we made the most of it with lots of water play to stay cool and refreshed. With our theme of camaraderie and teamwork, we celebrated the Little Forest Folk Putney Heath Euros finale.

This week, our main activities have revolved around the Euro football tournament, and the children have been enthusiastically engaging in football games in the forest. Using tarpaulins as makeshift goals, our little kickers have been scoring goal after goal, honing their skills and enjoying the spirit of friendly competition.

Our highlight was a science activity where the children experimented with milk, food colouring and soap. They observed the magical changes as the colours mixed and spread through the milk, witnessing firsthand the fascinating principles of colour theory.

This week in our enchanted forest, our Little Forest Folk-ers transformed into fearless superheroes! With their colourful capes fluttering behind them, they channelled their inner heroes, filling our days with excitement and adventure.
