Spring has officially sprung in our forest, and we’ve been making the most of the sunshine! This week, our theme has been Ball Games, with a focus on turn-taking, teamwork, and developing empathy—all through the joy of play.
We kick-started our week with tennis, crafting and decorating our very own tennis rackets using recycled materials. Once they were ready, we reinforced them and hit the forest courts, using logs as our net and court lines. Our adventurers showed fantastic sportsmanship, cheering each other on and perfecting their swings!
The fun continued with hula hoops, as we built targets to practice aiming and accuracy, developing gross motor skills along the way. With each throw, our adventurers improved their focus and coordination, making for an exciting and challenging game.
Midweek, we embarked on a trip to the football stadium—right here in our camp! The crowd was buzzing with energy, teammates were cheered on with musical instruments, and our refreshments stall kept everyone fuelled. Ticket checkers made sure everyone had their passes, and the match was played with amazing camaraderie and teamwork.
To round off the week, a circus came to town! Our little explorers took part in pin the tail on the donkey, hoopla, juggling, and skittles, sharpening their communication, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills while having a blast in the sun.
It’s been a week full of games, laughter, and learning, and we can’t wait to see what next week brings!
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!🎾⚽🎪✨
