Wimbledon Village - Forest Face Paints!

We have had another lovely week of forest fun here at Wimbledon Village!

We have continued our theme of Butterflies, and taken bits of Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” story and developed these ideas further.

On Wednesday, we had a transformation station, set up by Educator Karlenne, where our little explorers could decide what creature to evolve into! From Butterflies to Ladybirds, children picked which bug they wanted to be, before choosing some wings to complete the transformation.

In another popular activity this week, we created our own mono-printed collage in the Forest, using sticky back plastic! The children really enjoyed decorating their masterpiece with different coloured bits of art.

We have also re-introduced forest face paints this week, which has gone down a storm with the children. From Butterflies to Dragons, we have seen many different and colourful creatures roaming about the forest this week!

As the weather continues to warm up, we have also enjoyed plenty of water play lately! We have washed our dinosaurs, and had great fun with a launderette roleplay activity, set up by Educator Xiao, the children loved this group turn-taking activity.

Wishing everyone a great weekend and we’ll see you all next week!
