Winkworth - 'The Big Red Bath'!

We have seen so many tractors around the arboretum that we have been inspired to ride our trucks around just like them! We also built a road for our diggers and enjoyed running along it and playing red light, green light and dancing like goldfish!

We came into the garden to find a scene from one of our favourite books - The Big Red Bath. Lots of teddies were ready for a bath in our animal spa! They were careful to visit the potty and nappy changing station first and our little adventurers helped them get cleaned up and ready for their bubble bath, complete with a shower curtain 🛀 🌺 🫧 The children also baked some cakes and made tea for our teddies who were then getting on the train. The little ones were very kind, helping them out by taking them to use the potty and changing their nappies, drawing from real life experience and bringing this into their play.

Our Little Forest Folk-ers also learned about their digestive system this week, by tracing the journey from the mouth, through the stomach and to the small and large intestines! It was great to hear them talking about all the different body parts and then retrieving the doctors kits to check our heart beats and blood pressure.

Then it was time for den making and the little ones worked together to measure the pallets and create a hideaway. This activity was a great inspiration for lots of size language and problem solving, as well as some fabulous team work.

What a great week, we hope you all have a restful weekend!
