This week in our Morden forest, we welcomed our Spring Holiday Campers!!
It’s been a pleasure to welcome back some familiar faces and hear all about the cool things they’ve been getting up to at school! What a pleasure it is to hear about how well everyone has been doing, and how so many skills they’ve picked up in outdoor learning have helped well in school, including their resilience, communication skills, and love for learning!
One of our maths activities saw the children painting some lovely red ladybirds. Once they were all coloured in, the children picked out a paper from the bowl, and used their number recognition skills to count how many spots the ladybirds would have! We really loved seeing how far the children’s number recognition and counting skills have come along! We loved sharing our pictures afterwards!
Also, we had a wonderful time on Wednesday celebrating World Unicorn Day! Everyone got stuck in with face paints, dressing up very colourfully, and sprinkling some magic around the forest with stories and songs! The imaginative play was amazing, as each unicorn had a different superpower, and were always extra kind and caring to their friends.
What a fab week – we can’t wait for some more holiday fun next week!
