Putney Heath - Adventurers Turned Teachers!

Basking in Glorious Sunshine

As the sun graced us with its radiant and warm presence, our forest came alive with boundless energy and excitement. With boots kicked off and feet in the grass, we revelled in the warmth of summer's embrace, listening to the symphony of the forest around us.

Adventurers Turned Teachers

This week, our young explorers stepped into the shoes of teachers, planning resources and activities to share with their friends. Empowered with creativity and autonomy, they selected from a list of resources, including giant building blocks and dinosaurs, to create imaginative worlds of their own making. From towering skyscrapers to hidden caves, the forest echoed with the sounds of adventure and discovery.

Crafting Bug Hotels and Welcoming New Guests

One of the highlights of our week was the creation of bug hotels, lovingly crafted by our adventurers and adorned with nature's finest decorations. Welcoming both toy bugs and real insects of the forest, our bug hotels have become sanctuaries for our six-legged friends, providing a cosy haven for summer's arrival. With green caterpillars popping up around camp, we've prepared their homes with care, ensuring a warm welcome for all creatures great and small.

Nature's Beauty in the Mud Kitchen and Hammock Haven

Our mud kitchen has been transformed into a verdant paradise, adorned with grass clippings and the delicate beauty of cow parsley. Amidst this natural splendour, we've found moments of tranquillity and relaxation in our hammock haven, swaying gently as we soak in the sights and sounds of the forest.
