Happy Friday everyone!
We have had so much fun this week in the forest, learning about all the brilliant life cycles of creatures and plants we share our forest with.
Putney Heath - The World of Construction!
Twickenham - Going on a Safari!
Wimbledon Village - Aim and Fire!
Wimbledon - Little Forest Folk Olympics!
Chiswick - Den Building Extravaganza!
Fulham - Fun Experiments, Art Activities and Nature Observations!
Morden - Lime Hawk-Moth!
Putney Heath - Italy, South Africa and South America!
This week, our theme was construction, and we welcomed back some old friends to our holiday camp who joined in the creative fun. The children eagerly honed their construction skills by building rope ladders and dens around camp. They loved swinging through the trees and creating cosy homes under fallen logs.
Twickenham - Splashing in the River Crane!
Wimbledon Village - The Unicorn Band!
Wimbledon - Alien Spaceship!
This week, we have embraced the warm weather by exploring ice play! One super fun activity explored how long it took for ice to melt in different parts of the forest; we placed the ice in sunny and shady areas around camp and then watched and waited…it took a small ice cube 4 minutes and 54 seconds!
Chiswick - Embracing Outdoor Play!
Dear Little Forest Folk Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the beautiful summer weather as much as we have been! The past week has been filled with sunshine, laughter, and endless adventures. The warm days and clear skies have provided the perfect backdrop for our outdoor explorations and activities, allowing the children to immerse themselves fully in nature.
Fulham - Graduation Day!
Morden - Woodland Friends!
Putney Heath - Machinery, Robotics and Construction!
Twickenham - Ahoy there, me hearties!
Wimbledon Village - Hot, Sticky and Muggy!
Wimbledon - Fire Engines!
Little Forest Folk Wimbledon has been a hive of activity this week! We have had fire engines made out of pallets, boats made from wooden planks and doctors surgeries made using any bits and bobs from the forest. It has been great to see the children’s play develop throughout the week depending on what items there are around them.
