With the added rain that has been falling over the last few weeks there has been plenty of new opportunities for play, exploring and learning.
Chiswick - Breathing Exercises, Affirmations and Dance
Starting off the week inside was a little different to our usual Mondays and we certainly made the most of it, creating camp in our back garden with teddies gathered around the log circle, books hanging up, digging up our vegetable patch, face painting and seeing how long it took before the wind knocked down our foam shelter
Fulham - Clay Structures & Baby Geese!
This week in the Fulham Forest we have had a busy, exciting and eventful week. We started off the week by going on our first Fulham trip as we went to visit and spend the day with the team at Little Forest Folk Putney Heath. The children had the most amazing time as we took the bus there and got to play and explore the Putney Heath site. Everyone even got to have a turn on the swing that was there, which the children really enjoyed!

Wandsworth - “It’s raining, it’s pouring”
A wet week changes the play, and plenty of tent time in between games in the rain has been a fun addition.
Seated in the round, stories and songs galore fill the covered cosy space with warmth and soul. Classics like “Rain, Rain go away” and “It’s raining, it’s pouring” tour the circle of children with everyone having an opportunity to fill their name into the right gaps. Other singing and dancing games have helped us all to keep bodies moving and warm with smiles and laughter.
Wimbledon - Junk Modelling & Investigating Mushrooms
It has been another amazing week at Wimbledon, full of fun, happiness and even some snow!
Our children have found the mixture of weather this week to be so exciting as it brings so many new opportunities to explore. We have looked at the new flowers blossoming on our meadow, the worms popping up on the wetter days and the snow-covered puddles on our colder days.
Chiswick - Ladybirds, Paint Splatting, World Book Day and Shire Horses
With a chill back in trees, our Little Forest Folk-ers have kept themselves busy with LOTS of activities.
Little tasty ladybirds buzzed through our camps as our adventurers developed their fine motor skills, chopping and slicing fruits to build their insects. Banana bases, basil leaves, blueberry faces, and strawberry wings made a very yummy snack!
Fulham - World Book Day & Magic Potions
Morden - An Adventure Walk & St David's Day
It’s been a lovely and quick week in the forest!!
We ventured on our second adventure walk this week! Whilst heading up to the common we spotted what was around the neighbourhood and when the Little Forest Folk-ers came back, they were so excited to communicate and express what they had done and seen ‘We had a picnic on the common!’ ‘I saw a big hill and bumped all the way down!’
Putney Heath - Save Our Trees
The Little Forest Folk-ers of Putney Heath have really enjoyed reading the book "Greta and the Giants" this week, which has also inspired them to design their own environmental posters. Some of our adventurers’ designs were to encourage people to "Save the Forest" and others asked people to "please stop cutting down our trees".
